I found that without a good mortgage person behind me, all my investment attempts seemed to have loopholes. So I discovered the most amazing mortgage broker about 4 years ago and all my investments turned up. Funnily enough, we got along so well, he's now my boss! He trained me to do mortgage loans and now I do my own investments as well as for my clients, friends, family, etc. The money part is always the trickiest so have a good person back up all your decisions!
