Posted by Kevin We have been house hunting with a buyer's agent for 6 months. We figure we have spent about 30 hours of time with the agent. We have a friend who is going to sell their house as a FSBO, but refuses to pay a buyer's agent commission. The agent did not find the listing, but we have asked her to do a CMA. Without the agent, the deal would be done using a real estate attorney, who is a personal friend of us and the seller. We are personally comfortable doing it with or without the agent, but are seeking advise on the commissions. We are interested in doing the ethical thing. What do you believe is the correct course of action and why: 1. Pay our agent's full fee ourselves Thanks....

I have an ethical question about buyer's agent fees.
2. Ask our agent to take a reduced fee
3. Do the transaction without the agent
