Well, the book is actually much shorter than I had anticipated--it's only about 130 pages long. Do I think the material is Oscar worth? Yes. Do I think Michelle has the potential to hit the nail on the head with this character? Yes.
I just watched Dangerous Liasions again after many years. The teaming of Hamilton, Frears, and Pfeiffer, I think, will be an amazing one. Dangerous Liasions was such a masterpiece.
The character if Lea is very different from the one she played in Dangerous Liasions--not as tortured, but still unhappy in love, and longing for someone she can't have. I think it will be amazing to watch michelle with Rupert Friend, and I am hoping they have some great chemistry.
To me, this project has Oscar-worthy written all over it, just because of the people involved and the story. If they get the execution right, this could be a home-run for michelle.
