release date is officially next year.
mgm has been going thru major re-organization this past year(acquired by sony-then moving to fox), its distribution and marketing department are not stable yet, and doesn't have enough muscle and capability to market the film.
hence, they're only releasing small films that they've partnered with other studios, and delaying the major ones for next year.
