Because I am on such a low dose (1 cc once per week) my neurologist says I will never get used to the side effects until I either up the dose or switch meds. I am still on the meds and tolerating them well now because I started taking marijuana on the shot night. Like Brian, I would get up the morning after the shot and feel like hell the rest of the weekend. When I take a shot now, I follow with a dose of marijuana and it has changed my life. I don't wake up in pain in the middle of the night anymore and have gone from taking an average of 10-16 Advils every weekend to maybe 3. I live in Canada, so I get it prescribed by my doctor. I realize this post may be deleted for recommending what I did, but it has totally changed my body's reaction to the meds. I can't recommend it enough.

I have started using a topical freezing for the injection, which helps a lot (Xylocaine, Emla).
