Yes, I do take narcotic pain medication as needed. I take Neurontin on a daily basis for daily control, but sometimes for acute pain or flare ups-I take Vicodin. I also take the Vicodin for numbness and tingling that can be very annoying sometimes. My Neurologist is aware and agrees with what I take it for. I try to keep it to a minimum though. Michele
