Many people say it takes them a week to 2 weeks after their treatment to start noticing any changes in their symptoms. I myself noticed after the first day that my eye pain was not as bad and then every day the pain was a little less and a little less painful. About 2 weeks after i went off the steroids my vision returned to normal and i was regaining my strength in the affected limbs. Are you doing follow up oral steroids to bring you down off the infusion? Usually people do IV for 3 to 5 days and then the oral for 18 to help get them slowly down off the steroids. Every day the pills will be fewer and fewer till you finally are off them completely. Its a big shock to your system to all of a sudden have nothing after 3 or 5 days of IV solumedrol. The lower oral dose helps bring you down without that shock and mood swings. Well i still had some mood swings but i wasn't a raging bull lol.
