Charlotte, another story when I fell off the war wagon just before the start of the then called BGN race when I was doing PR for the #43 team. Roof pop up on those old carts collapsed and head first I went down onto the asphalt HARD in the pit box. Getting speared by the jack handle and shattering my right elbow trying to break my fall and not break my neck. EMT's from the pits along with a trip to the infield care center where the drivers go...then to hospital in ambulance through side of road ditch (incoming race traffic blocking road)....what a day. Had tons of people staying at the house, a planned cookout and I was stuck in ER. They wanted to admit me but I refused, I had company at my house and had to go home. Oh what pain, 3 days later major surgery. However, went to the Cup race the next day after my fall. Nothing was gonna stop me from being with our JrFans, lordy it was freezing cold and I was in so much pain but I stayed. Two weeks later(we had a week off so didn't miss a race) I was on a plane with the 43 team race day crew to AZ to continue my job one handed...LOL Nothing stopped me from doing my job.
We need another reunion so I can have another funny (not painful) Charlotte story to tell...LMBO Oh the memories!
Hope the weather for today's Bristol race holds off until after the race. Not ,looking good though.
