No trees are close to the house so the snow and junk that can grow on roofs don't since it gets a lot of sun. We have 5 acres and behind the house is clear of trees(once had a garden there). Rest of the property is filled with pines and oak trees. We have very little grass. Get a landscaper once a year to cut what is there. Front has a lot of moss and there are low bush blueberry plants that grow. Another grass that grows high in the summer. Think my husband calls it switch grass. Our lovely township has nothing better to do besides giving a summons for high grass, Plenty of properties with broken cars that clutter the yards but still sit there. We are in the middle of the woods with one neighbor and nothing across the street since it is military property. It'll be 40 years in December and glad everyday we are here and not in town. Just far enough that neither daughter was gonna go hang out in town. Even though when we first were here basic training was going on and a lot of soldiers and traffic go past here. Never bothered us. What is really weird is that in Jan of 1969 my husband did his basic training in the Army and would've marched right past the house we are in now.
