The boy told the man he had no money, and the suspect made him turn his pockets inside out. The assailant then asked the boy, "What size shoe do you wear?" The man then grabbed the leg and foot of the boy with the gun pointed to his head. The child pulled away and the suspect took his gray beanie hat. The man got back into the vehicle and drove north on Oakland Avenue. A second incident occurred at 3:58 p.m. near 17th Street and Fourth Avenue. A 61-year-old man told officers a vehicle pulled up to his residence and a man asked if he wanted his driveway cleaned for $5. The homeowner said "No" and the man pulled a dark-colored handgun and told the victim to give him his money. The victim told the gunman he had no money and that he was going to call the police. The vehicle then left the area. ------------------------------- A shouting match turned violent Tuesday afternoon. Just after 4 p.m., officers arrived at a house at 42nd and Miami Street on a call that someone had been cut. Two men were in a heated argument when one of them began assaulting the other. In self-defense, the man grabbed a knife and cut the man who was beating him. The man suffered minor injuries and was treated at Creighton University Medical Center. -------------------------- An Omaha man was returning home Sunday evening when he was robbed at gunpoint. Shane Costello was standing in front of his home on Nebraska Avenue when a man in a silver Ford Focus pulled up and demanded money. The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s, six-feet tall and about 180-pounds. ---------------------------- A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday for a Council Bluffs man charged with first-degree murder. Kaine Dye is suspected in the slaying of his neighbor, William Moser, 64. Prosecutors said Dye, 24, stole a pickup truck on Jan. 26. The next day, Harrison County authorities located Moser's body near the truck. -----------------------------
A 12-year-old boy told Council Bluffs police officers he was walking near the intersection of Oakland Avenue and Ross Street at approximately 3:20 p.m., when a vehicle traveling north on Oakland Avenue stopped and the driver yelled out the window, "give me your (expletive) money."
