(Lincoln, NE) -- Governor Dave Heineman has signed off on rules and regulations for the state's new concealed carry law. The law goes into effect at the first of the year. Applicants must be 21-years or older, a resident of Nebraska for at least 180-days and have proof of completing a firearms training class in order to be approved. Applicants will be checked to make sure they have not been convicted of a felony or violent crime.
