Chaco was transported in very critcal condition with life-threatening injuries, and Guzman was in serious condition, police said. --------------------------------------- Authorities have identified the victim of a Wednesday night shooting as 26-year-old James Garrett of Omaha. Police responded to a report of gunfire near 25 Avenue and Hartman Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday night. While officers were on the way to the scene they received information that one person had been shot. Garrett was found in front of a home in the 5300 block of North 24th Street. ------------------------------------- Police said they're looking for a robber who hit the Kwik Shop at 36th and Leavenworth streets on June 18. Investigators said a man walked into the shop and indicated that he had a gun. The clerk gave him cash and he walked away. --------------------------------------- A man has died of injuries he suffered in a Wednesday morning shooting. Larry Green Jr., 20, was shot in the head near 30th Street and Ames Avenue has died of his injuries. No further details were immediately available. Three men have been shot over the past two nights just four blocks apart. The first happened Tuesday. A man told police that he was shot as he walking near 46th and Camden streets at about 2:30 a.m. His injuries were not life-threatening, officials said. The second shooting happened before 2 a.m. Wednesday at 42nd and Camden streets. Police were called after Sidney Smith, 17, was shot in the buttocks, according to police. He was taken to Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition.
And you don't think we need the right to have a handgun for defence?
