Megan is a 23 year old student teacher who contracted Spinal Meningitis in her blood stream. My life has changed so much, mostly for the better. I have been married to a wonderful guy for 3 years. I have acquired a 20 year old son, and he, two daughters. Hollie is twenty and LeAnne is 13. We have a beautiful home in Hart. Two acers of Apple and Cherry trees, raspberries, concord grapes and a garden. Who would have ever figured me to be a farmer. I started a charter school and we are in our fifth year. First of all I would like to thank everyone who attended the Golf Outing in Muskegon and/or the Elections Meeting, for welcoming me back into the fold. But, most importantly, for making my husband feel comfortable. He to is a Senator but never had experienced your warm and friendly personalities. It is so good to be back.

Two days later, the Thursday before our Region meeting, she developed septic shock and was given less than 24 hours to live. She then developed ARDS, and was put on a ventilator. On April 3 she was medi-vaced to U of M Hospital. It is now 6 weeks later and she is still on life support and in intensive care. She will lose some fingers, need skin graphs,and total rehabiltation if she survives. Survival is in her and God's hands, the doctors can do no more. Her ear drums have ruptured, her hair is gone,she has crashed so many times and yet her will to survive continues. Please keep her and her family in your prays. I can't wait to see so many of you in Dayton. I need the break and to hook up with so many good friends.
