Hello all,
Over the weekend I received word from Andrea Mucha (Senator #64860) regarding Brenda Coulson (Senator # 64826 and wife of Jim Coulson, Senator #62799 both of Madison Heights) who was rushed to the hospital last Thursday. Brenda has an ongoing battle with Crones Disease. A few years ago she was diagnosed and part of her intestines were removed. On Friday, January 28th, she underwent emergency surgury.
She is currently at Beaumont (not sure if it is Royal Oak or Troy).
As of late yesterday, Brenda is doing well. She had to have 6" of her small intestine removed due to blockage. The surgery was on Friday and took 2 hours. On Sunday, she had recovered significantly and she might be released as early as Tuesday. Those close to Brenda said they knew she was definitely feeling better when she asked the doctor if she'll be able to go to February's convention. The doctor did say that her recovery is much faster than the first time she had this surgery. Everyone was very relieved!
