************************************* A. MEMBER UPDATES
Dennis Kester, Treasurer and Senator #38041, remains in the hospital while recovering from pneumonia. They had hoped to take him home by now but he had a relapse. He is improving as of today, being able to stand again. He is currently in therapy on the 3rd floor of Heritage Hospital in Taylor. Ellen, Dennis's wife, does not know for sure what visiting hours are and when he is expected to go home. You can send emails to Ellen at Weelz245@aol.com. Cards may be sent to 13760 WESTCOTT CT, SOUTHGATE, 48195. PS... Dennis's mother also had surgery during this time for cataract. Ellen has been taking care of both of them.
Marsha Oberleiter, Senator #49727 is recovering from complications from her gallbladder surgery and will be recuperating at home for the next 6 weeks. I have had no new news on Senator Rich Keeler #30297 (Life #115) who is battling brain cancer. He has been released from the hospital and is currently home under the love and care of his family. Some good news... Brian Klinge, 32nd President and Senator #60500, is tentatively scheduled to have his halo removed on Thursday, September 16th. There goes all our great fundraising ideas.... Best wishes to Brian and Wendy.
************************************* B. MI JCI SENATE MEETING - SEPTEMBER 21
This month's Senate meeting will be in Dimondale, MI at the Coyote Grille located at 6951 Lansing Rd. Directions are very simple: Take I-96 to Exit #98. Head East. You can't miss it. Social is at 6PM, dinner is at 7PM and meeting will start some time around 8PM. Hope to see you all there!

So far all I know is it is scheduled to be held in Ohio this year. As soon as I have more information, I will pass it on. There will be more information also at the September meeting (See above item for date and time of meeting).

Due to hurricane IVAN, the meeting has been cancelled. Attendees are asked to IMMEDIATELY cancel all hotel rooms, as they are needed for evacuees.
