Posted by Sue Foltin, #63744 The first 100 numbers have been reserved for Past Presidents of the MI JCI Senate. Numbers 100 and above were and continue to be available for purchase by other Senators. The cost is $200. The first $25 goes towards dues and the remaining $175 goes into a Life Membership Fund. The interest from that fund is then used to supplement Life Members dues (mostly covering the cost of printing and mailing the FILIBUSTER). For example, I plan to be a Senator for more than 10 years, so it made economical sense to purchase a Life Membership. My number is 312. We're somewhere in the upper 300's now, I believe.
