Well if you weren't at the Region V Spring Fling you missed a lot. But before I get into the details, I want to forward this information from Jocelyne Wendelken:
Just a note to let you know Pam Fortuna's mother passed away about [an hour ago] Sunday afternoon. Pam & Steve's address is 7733 Cortland, Allen Park, MI. 48101. At this time they are not planning any services. If this changes we will let you know.

Our thoughts are with Steve, Pam and the rest of the Fortuna family.
Also, we were visited by Dwight Keith #45867 this weekend. Unfortunately, Dwight has undergone some serious health issues over the past year and we were not aware of his condition. We are all very relieved to see him looking so healthy and active again. More information about Dwight's condition will be featured in the next Filibuster (May / June 2006).

Please welcome our new Region V Vice President: Tracy Brown from Indiana. Tracy was sworn in by US JCI Senate President, Ed Hart on Saturday evening during the banquet.
Earlier in the day, the MI JCI Senate elected their 2006-2007 Board of Directors. Those in attendance were also sworn in Saturday evening. Your new board, starting May 1, will consist of:

Lastly, the MI JCI Senate awarded another Senate-sponsored senatorship during the evening banquet. Dave Dunville was caught totally off guard and is now recognized as Senator #66300. We all agreed that his number is far too easy to remember! Congratulations Dave.
