Re: Nifty Fifties Reunion
Dear Ann, Thank you for writing me Ann, and I did know that Rex had passed away in Hawaii, but I did not know your address to send you my condolences.....Please know how sorry I am as well as all of us from the classes of the fifties. Rex was so well liked in school....My brother Rayford McIlhaney told me when he heard about it that he wished he knew your address to send you a condolence...as he said Rex being a couple of classes ahead of he and I had helped him so very much in basketball and other sports...I am so glad you got to go to all your favorite places in Hawaii before his death....You will always have that to remember....I remarried after being a widow for 11 yrs and Jay and I went to Hawaii for our wedding trip and stayed out on the North Shore at Turtle Bay...It is so beautiful there.....I am so very sorry, and please know you are in our prayers.....please feel that you can come to any of our reunions and would always be welcome...I write a weekly article for our paper..It is called AS THE WINDMILLS Turn....If I knew more history on Rex I would like to write an article on him here in McCamey...If you ever feel like writing me some notes on him about his life...my e mail is RoyleneInMcCamey@aol.com.....God Bless you Ann, and please know Rex will always be remembered by those of us from MHS.......Roylene
