: I am suprised Dago Red did not chime in on
: this one. With an Alum. cell you may not
: need the fire wall. Dago has an Alum cell
: in his wagon
: and no firewall and passes tech at all the
: tracks
: around here and Houston also. Contact a
: tech person at one of the local tracks. He
: may get by
: with no fire wall because he has a dirt
: track type cell double wall.

And, here I am. I can't put a bulkhead between the trunk and the drivers compartment since one does not exist in a wagon. So, I went and purchased a dirt track cell where the cell is inside a metal container and has all the safety check valves and such. The problem you will have is every tech guy views the rules differently. One understood the cell in a metal box thing right away. One wasn't going to let me run without a ground strap, despite the metal can being attached to the car itself. I have had to justify EVERY part of the installation at one time or another. And just to stir things up, how about 40 year old lap belts in a ten second car not getting a second look. In the meantime I get lectured on out of date racing belts in a 13 second car.
