I'd agree regarding tactics and maybe even more advanced skills, but there's no excuse for poor fitness. You don't have to be at the training ground to get fit, and even when injured you can swim or whatever. |
And as for fitting it round dayjobs, when I was about the players' age, I was busy all day every day so used to cycle from Rusholme to Didsbury and back every morning before breakfast.
As you can tell, I have a real problem with peopl who are paid to do sport not being fit...
