The announcement on COWS direct from the administrator says
'A number of issues that are key to us being able to conclude a sale are to be considered by the Football League at a meeting next week and we are hopeful that significant progress can be made to conclude a sale after that meeting.'
Yet you seemingly choose to completely ignore the official announcement.

Kennedey needs a new ground up to the RFU regulations. He can get exactly what he wants with our prosposed new ground move, plus he would get us out of the Edgeley Park picture, and be free to do with the land as he feels (i.e sell it on, and pocket the cash).
Imo his article in the Express was a publicity stunt, and him basically flexing his muscles towards the council, who as we know seem to be bending over backwards for privatly owned Sale Sharks. They don't want them to leave the borough, and will give them a free ground if that's what it takes..

I'd have thought about one and a half to two million pounds would be fair in the current market and given that "our" representatives (from the directors box) on the council would block any plans to redevelop the area
Then we can wave the egg chasers goodbye and start to redevelop the ground for the benefit of Stockport and its County

Perhaps there are other issues but primacy of tenancy is one - lets not ignore that
Whilst people like you (Steve) love the exclusivity of being in the know and the ability to tease us with it - most of us don't know a lot and you are second only to MWAH for your innuendo and constant references to things the average fan is unaware of in the past few months

I'd like to turn the whole thing around, from my point of view Mark's still in there trying to safeguard the future of the club despite outrageous attack from many quarters....some of the most vociferous being former friends/colleagues......you have to ask why not one of them ever contacted him to hear his side of the story and indeed from those formerly involved why not one has come up with a viable plan for SCFC or attempted to get ivolved in rescuing the club......so is Mark some evil megolomaniac who hopes to bleed a League 1 side dry in order to realise his evil plan of err being in charge of a League 1 club.....or is he trying to protect the future of the club he loves......you can add up all the information and come up with any answer you want but I can categorically tell you that he would embrace somebody walking in with real money and good intentions taking the reins of the club tomorrow.....the trouble is mate, despite all the rhetoric there IS no such person at this point in time, if Mark wasn't running things at the moment I genuinely believe we'd be in real trouble (whether you think he was responsible for where we are in the first place is a separate argument)....the people involved in the proposed takover are still there and the deal is waiting to be done if the terms are right.....when that happens Mark will walk away if that's what's required, but I genuinely believe that should all the facts emerge fans in general might not be so quick to push him away....No-one has to agree with me, I'm just explaining where I'm coming from......

People need to know where & how it all went wrong, Mark as a former MD would be as good a contact as any for this information, however I understand peoples feelings towards Mark. It's not nice seeing someone who was a part of bringing the club to its knees (let's be fair he did make mistakes during his tenure, some of which will have been contributing factors towards our slide into Admin. He wouldn't have intentionally made any mistakes)
I do believe he is trying to help the future of this club, but with his involvement in the past (& some perceptions that have been built) some fans don't want to see him there, do you blame them?

Firstly I'm sure JM said at a forum that Mark would be gone once his role / job he was asked to do is finished. If he went back on his word then he'd more than likely be vilified by fans.
Also all the facts should have already emerged & it's the fault of Mark that they haven't. Mark should have gone public as soon as was possible with all facts, figures, emails, documentation, etc to show how his & others actions lead us to Administration. Instead he stayed silent, former TB, CB members came out & pinned more & more on Mark. Mark should have come out to defend himself & explain things, he didn't & now some fans see you brother as Dr Evil trying to take over County. With the lack of information out & Mark refusing to say anything then I don't blame them
Mark still needs to get his side of the story out, you believe he wouldn't be given a fair hearing, I'm entitled to agree to a certain extent that some fans wouldn't, however the fault for that can be laid squarely at Mark himself for his constant silence. Even if he's not going to get a fair hearing he needs to get the information out so that the fans can at least make their own minds up as to who is to blame, not be told who is to blame

on 4/11/2009, 10:15 am, in reply to "Re: Kennedy's satement in the express adds up now"Well his initial silence was contractual, even when those at the club took advantage of the void he honoured the agreement.....that was also the stage at which some of those closest too him could have asked for clarification but chose not to (appears the stampede for disassociation was on !).......since then he's addressed his fiercest critics and offered to discuss their concerns.....to which he's been accused of a PR stunt and attempting to 'build bridges' (why THAT would be a problem I don't know)......however, he's meeting a couple of individuals over the next few days, maybe out of that he'll be ready to say more......but I'm sure the first concern is the exit from administration and when it gets right down to it, in comparison, everything else is irrelevant at the moment.....

Mark/Norman/David Hoyle are higher up the pecking order and so they carry the burden of responsibility, it is tough at the top I guess
Personal attacks are out of order, SCFC was a business that never stood a chance of survival under the agreement struck with BK, Mark probably realised that in the early days and did what he could to keep the club going - it can't have been easy???
Everyone did there best, it just wasn't to be
As for Marks role at the club today, well it appears to me that someone has to do the job and I would prefer the Administrators brought in ANYONE other than themselves to do it - bearing in mind the fees they charge, I imagine Mark is somewhat cheaper
All of the people I spend time at football with (you know them all) are not judgemental re Mark, but feel some sort of an explanation is due, you believe he wouldn't get a fair hearing and you may be right, all in good time perhaps
Martin Whites timeline document is something else to be looked forward to - the Trust themselves have a lot of explaining to do!
At the end of the day it is worth remembering that it is those higher up the pecking order that will be held the most responsible - nothing more sinister than that
Good point about the alcohol though, I'll take that on board
