    But saying someone's playing CB isn't quite a reflection on the job he's being asked to do; LCB in a 3 combines the role of a CB with that of a fullback, which is why he was identified for the role and why Knoyle was used at RCB in the same way.

    Wright's a CDM by trade and it was an 'experiment' to play him there last season; the only way we knew if worked was because we stuck with it. Wright himself has been fairly poor at RCB when he's played there for a while now, so he's not exactly the greatest of options.

    Byrne's a right-footed CB, so is therefore a risk at LCB when you factor in what that role entails. He's done it before in emergencies but again it's a risk.

    Knoyle and Touray was also a risk and one that hasn't really paid off, but to act like those on the bench were an instant fix isn't an accurate reflection of the situation.

    Rydel's unlikely to be fit for Saturday if reports are to be believed, and Knoyle's out for 6 weeks, so the only reason the 'experiment' has ended is out of necessity.
