I will guarantee that if it goes by mistakes made in a game then every outfield player should be rested before Ben, because not a single player makes less mistakes in a game than a goalkeeper, an average outfield player will make probably 4 or 5 mistakes minimum even if he has had a half decent game, and on the other side you can see a keeper pull off match winning saves that you think “he had no right to get to that”; last week was a good example, however you will only find 1 or 2 worldies either tackle or goal from the other 10 players per game. By the way, I am not just protecting Ben here, i am speaking for the goalkeepers union.
Oh and a keeper normally will have the ball more than any other player in a game, so more chance of a mistake.
