I don't think anyone at the club is satisfied with the start we have made, or at least I hope no-one is satisfied with it. That is not to say however that it is time to panic or start talking doom and gloom. We have the same set of circumstances as last year with a lot of new blood to get settled in and we have an inordinate amount of injuries to contend with too. Everyone is entitled to their opinions but it irks me that there are so many people out there that profess to know better than the manager, the chairman, the (insert position of choice) The fact is that we are 7 points off an automatic promotion place with 120 points (40 games) to play for. We have had no luck whatsoever ths far and the law of averages says that will not continue. I live on the other side of the planet so am not immersed physically in the day to day, but what I see from here is simply a case of impatience based on very high expectations. 4 years ago we were NLN and last year we ran out of legs in the EFL2 playoff final failing by the smallest of margins to secure back to back promotions. I am very confident that we will go up this year, but we have to also be realistic, there are a lot of other teams that have splashed the cash in the EFL2 so it is NOT a foregone conclusion, and contra to how some of the fan base behaves, nor is it a right! There is a lot of hard work to do between now and the end of the season and whilst none of us have a crystal ball, I am 100% confident in the on and off field teams we have in place and that they will do EVERYTHING possible to get us where we all want to be.
