We have four months to source cover for our strikers and we failed. Wrexham showed their ambition to get out of this division. We are left with an unbalanced squad lacking in physicality and height. So we bring in a left winger to compete with our other left wingers in Hippolyte and Barry and we release our only right winger in Crankshaw who also could play on the left side. But we have good wing backs. Still very poor recruitment in my opinion. I did think when Challinor was in talks with Charlton part of me said, I don’t want him to go, the other part said bring in Alun Armstrong and sign his son. I thought Luke was overpriced, but I would have offered them Crankshaw and Evans in the deal to get him. No I was very disappointed with yesterday. Like last year a total balls up. Just have to hope we can get through to January without major injuries.
