Daniel Maresca, Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul and Defense Attache Frederick Fontanot accompanied him. Many thanks to: Our sculptor, Hannah Stewart for creating such a fantastic statue of Danny. I think it's fair to say that her work is amazing and seemed to be very well received by the fans and the Bergara family. Stockport County Football Club - Steve Bellis, Rick Simkin, Dave Ancell, Jonny Vaughan, Olivia Hanvey, Rick Hinks and Mark Stott for his generous donation of £10,000! Help the Hatters and Co-op board colleagues. In particular, Edd Powell for arranging 2 programme fairs to support this appeal. Danny’s former players for attending events and donating, including Chris Beaumont, Kevin Francis, Peter Ward, Jim Gannon, Mike Flynn, Paul Jones, Tony Barras, Tony Dinning! Phil Brennan and Benji Taylor at BASK for donating profits from their 100 Club book launch event. Ian Brown hedgegrower for being absolutely amazing in driving the fundraising publicity campaign, running many Make Us An Offer auctions, selling mugs, calendars and being involved in everything! Paul and Cheryl Sharrocks from Stockport Gin for creating Bergara Gin, Keith at RKL Engineering for sponsoring the Danny Bergara statue website and Hatters Half Marathon’s, Bergara family for donating Danny’s shirts, scarves and coats, which have been auctioned, Danny’s heroes who have run the Hatters Half marathon, Graham Privett for creating the County Supporters calendar, Malcolm Cooke at C&C Insurance Brokers, Simon Dawson for donating profits from his book, arranging the successful gin night, securing sponsorship deals and networking.
