Supporters Cooperative Wellspring Collection Raises Over £1000! The relationship between the Supporters Cooperative and Stockport`s magnificent homeless charity the Wellspring goes back years and is a source of real pride to us. Thus, in times as hard for ordinary folk as they are at present it was simply excellent to see the response to our appeal on Saturday from supporters who tipped a magnificent £936.60 into our collecting buckets- a figure boosted on the day, by a further £100 donated by an extraordinary ordinary anonymous County supporter, to an incredible total of £1036.60( excludes QR code donations )! The Club had given us permission to place a van on the car park to enable supporters to drop off contributions to the Wellspring`s excellent `Rucksack Project` . `Spud I Vac` kindly provided the van and your donated items are now with the charity along with the cash. The Wellspring have asked us to thank you all for your generosity, and we would like to congratulate our collection team of 5 Supporters Cooperative Board members, 2 volunteers from the Wellspring, another 2 Help the Hatters stalwarts Angela and Melanie plus Spud of `Spud I Vac` and Keith Mills of Forever Friends of Uganda, for their efforts . We would like to thank the Club for giving us the opportunity to again support the Wellspring, and a final word of thanks to the many Leyton Orient supporters who gave generously to the effort-brilliant stuff!
