    Great Response to Wellspring Appeal !

    Good news abounded over the week-end!
    Saturday was significantly cold, but County supporters not only ignored this and watched County`s business-like win in the FA Trophy against high flying Grimsby Town, but also took time out to respond to the call from the Supporters Cooperative for our appeal on behalf of Stockport`s magnificent homeless charity The Wellspring.
    Our campaign was by necessity somewhat truncated this year but the response from fans was nothing short of brilliant enabling us to hand over an eye popping £312.40 and a quantity of items that will be a useful addition to the charity`s `Rucksack Appeal`.
    So….a big thank you County supporters , and the Club for the use of the car park for 2 hours pre-kick off!

    And the good news continued into Sunday where thanks to 2 anonymous County supporters we were able to raise £1100 in our Make Us An Offer Christmas Double Header( £850 for the shirt that Danny Bergara wore in 1992 leading County out at Wembley for the play off final with Peterborough, and £250 for the splendid Kate O`Brien original artwork of the Main Stand on Hardcastle Road).
    We thank the anonymous supporters and all who helped with this effort which ( err …the good news just will not stop coming…) will send the Danny Bergara Statue Appeal beyond £15000 !
