    AGM 2021
The AGM of the Supporters Cooperative went ahead as planned successfully at the Spinning Top this Monday.

The proceedings were also available via Zoom link, for members unable to get there, and this worked perfectly with members clearly enjoying this interaction.
Pete Towey`s report from the chair stressed how heavily Covid had affected the Cooperative`s ability to communicate fully with the Club, but he also was pleased to point to progress made in areas such as the Community Ticketing Scheme in which Club and ourselves had established an agreed course of action, and the recent Meet & Greet , pointing also to another magnificently organised Hatters Half Marathon that will be adding circa £2300 to the Danny Bergara Statue Fund .
Peter continued, pointing to the need to increase membership and with it our credibility as we strive to represent the fan base to the Club. In this respect he hoped for a resumption of `face to face` members meetings, subject of course to the situation with Covid.
With a glance back to the now gone Cabin which was such a great hub and link between fans and ourselves, Peter confirmed that members and none members meanwhile can button hole a Cooperative board member on match days on the `Grassy Knoll` next to the Cheadle End turnstiles before home games.
Following reports from all the officers of the board it was confirmed that 5 nominations had been received to cover 5 existing vacancies on the board thus there would not be an election this year, but we would need to draw lots to decide the allocation of the seats within the 5 successful candidates.
This resulted as follows:- Ian Brown, Katye Ebbage and Simon Dawson sit for 3 years, John Giles for 2 years and Matthew White 1 year.

    Board Newcomers

Simon Dawson secured a 3 year tenure .
Simon has followed County since he was ten getting involved at the Club initially via a work placement scheme, the former Supporters Club and then Stockport County Supporters FC which he was involved with setting up. Simon still runs the SCSFC in the Stockport & District Sunday League thirty years later.
He has enjoyed numerous roles within the club on match days, including working in the shop, security in the 80s and 90s, fitting in 3 seasons as Vernon Bear, culminating in a cameo appearance in the Blossoms video ‘Where are Blossoms?’.
Simon was County`s Commercial Manager from July 1st, 2015, until August 2020- a role he fulfilled with conspicuous success, and he brings much to the Cooperative`s table!

Matthew White is the other new face, having secured a one year tenure at the AGM.
Matty has been going to County for over 40 years, and after living for 13 years in Rio de Janeiro thinks that Stockport is the best place in the world to live and County a massive part of that.
A long-standing supporter of the Supporters Co-op, he thinks it is absolutely crucial that the Co-op provides fans with a strong voice and holds the club to account with the disasters that have unfolded at Bury and Macclesfield lately in mind being convinced that County is too precious to lose, and a strong Co-op is essential to make sure that this never comes to pass.
Matty, who includes completing the arduous Hatters Half Marathon in his list of accomplishments, brings much to the Cooperative table including sound knowledge of the workings of voluntary organisations through his long association with Offerton CC that he and his fellow volunteers, saved from disappearing altogether transforming it into the success story it is today.
