If he fails, so do County, so it's completely counter productive.
I haven't seen anyone who wants him to fail. They might not think he's a great manager (particularly after that very poor performance against Dagenham) or as good as Jim Gannon, but that is not the same thing...
I didn't think Jim Gannon should have been dismissed. I thought it was an absolutely shocking decision, but that doesn't mean I don't support Simon Rusk or want him to succeed.
