Will impact those support services but from the perspective of an office worker with a laptop and WFH capability it makes absolutely zero sense to either me, or the company, for me to go into the office.
In our London HQ (the Cheese Grater building) they don't even have a full compliment of workstations for the people working there. They literally don't want you to come in unless necessary.
My daily routine when I'm off work. Come down stairs. Cup of coffee. Sit down, put the news on, open work laptop and work. Plenty of breaks. Get jobs done at home that need doing. My day to day work gets done. I don't spend hours jabbering away to people.
My daily routine when I'm in the office. One hour nightmare drive into work along Rochdale Road. In principle a heightened danger to me and those around me. £20+ to park all day on the NCP (which the business pay). Get into work (late usually). And do about 3/4 the total amount of work I'd do at home.
As I say, I've yet to hear anyone point out a simple advantage. I don't even particularly like the people I work with (with a couple of notable exceptions).
