It's a strange one, a lot of us said we'd be happy with a season of consolidation & a mid table finish, myself included. We were also praying for a takeover for what seemed like eons, the takeover has happened & our future is secured & looks bright but our form on the pitch has crashed. It's been well highlighted on here about the difficulties of a mid season takeover & those difficulties have definitely manifested themselves with regards to the squad. Like Bobsplash says, after the xmas period the playoffs at least looked well within reach now i'm resigned to the season fizzling out in mediocrity which is disappointing when we look at the position we were in after xmas, But i'm not bothered in the slightest because it's about the long game & what's ahead of us. Jim is getting criticism because of the system we play & our style of football & whilst i agree that sometimes he's too stubborn in the way we set up which makes us easy to read for our opponents, his system has always brought us success eventually in the past & was also bringing success this season. The reason i'm no longer bothered about this season is because with a full time set up with proper training facilities next season, I know Jim will have better tools to coach & implement his preferred system. There's also no doubt that he'll be bringing in more dynamic players next season that suit his system better than the players we currently have. The future is bright people & the future is blue
