Speaks very positively about Simon Wilson. Talks about in recent years having to do a lot of upward leadership with regards to football processes. He says it’s nice to have someone who understands what football’s about come in to implement all the things that the club is looking to do under the new ownership.
Says it takes a lot of pressure off him.
Also mentions the last time he worked with a director of football being Barry Fry who had great experience and contacts but that Simon’s skillset is much wider and he’ll be working with all the staff not just Jim; medical and conditioning, etc. Says he’s very comfortable working with a DoF.
Talks about big decisions having to be made operationally and with players who are or aren’t good enough for this level and level above.
