I cant see it as anything but a positive, his job is to provide the manager the tools to do his. Jim Gannon picks the team, picks the tactics, identifies his targets and they work together to improve the club. There will be things they disagree on and they will both have there own opinions but as long as both have the ability to compromise and respect the others job role there is no reason this wont be a huge success.
