The difference is that Rusk was massively underachieving both in terms of the quality of football and our league position.
Under Chally, the football is generally good and performances are excellent except for the occasional dips in form which we've suffered both last season and this. Injuries have crippled us this season, there's no doubt about that and the manager cannot be held accountable for that imo. The only criticisms I would level at him are his team selections sometimes especially at the start of the season playing 4 full backs (and playing 3 occasionally since), his substitutions are sometimes very early (which has worked on occasion) and sometimes very late (giving players a couple of minutes to change the game strikes me as bizarre) and finally the acquisitions in January have been underwhelming apart from Bristow. A caveat here though is that we had a number of players who apparently turned us down which can't have helped and probably led to some last minute switches of focus.
All in all though, Chally has done a brilliant job for us and given his past record for all clubs he's managed, the guy is definitely a winner.
The older I get the better I was.
