We have lost 4 players with the class to step up and succeed.
We've disrupted a solid Centre Half pairing,
half of the starting back 4 gone.
The whole left side gone (with both players massively contributing in terms of pace and their ability to carry the ball forward),
We have lost our chief assist provider,
We've lost our top goalscorer, who also provided leadership at the top of the pitch.
Still time to addtess it but just replacing them in order to return us to last year's level is going to be tricky.
Then we have to add to that another 4/5 of that quality or better.
This jump up is going to shock people, it shouldn't as Jim has described it as the widest divisional gap in the whole of Football.
Last year, from end of November/early December I was absolutely positive we would be promoted, and soon after that that we would win the League; it was based on two observations
The League was absolutely dire, easily the worst since we joined it.
We were not dire, we were okay.
It's great that we have been promoted, but we are fools if we think winning that division means we Re ready for this.
Big season for everyone, career defining for Jim (in the wider game) I hope he's not burned at the end of it.
