I'm not one to slag off the club as a matter of course and I can see there is an argument for the increase (though I continue to question some of the assumptions made in the maths of it all). But this has really not been handled very well from a PR perspective. And it's not enough to say, 'It's okay because some people will complain about anything.' Of course there are always people who aren't happy. That does not mean that concerns raised are not legitimate.
I suspect the club will reap the (dis)benefits of its poor PR at a later date. I suspect most people who can afford it will buy tickets now, rather than not do so as some form of protest. I've also spoken to a non-ST holder who will be getting one next season. But the first question will be how many people won't be able to afford it.
The longer-term question is how many people who were starting to warm to the club (rightly or wrongly) are going to be much less generous towards their actions in future.
