And it's also psychological. Even for people that can afford it, they may think £18 for a non league game? That's steep and they might not attend as often. £16 or £17 is a moderate increase and they may have happily paid that.
No one is saying prices cannot be increased - they were frozen for 5 seasons, but it needs to be gradual.
Season tickets reflect a big increase, as there are two extra games to pay for + a big price increase.
I really think the Club should have done this in stages - £2 this year and £1 next year.
And it is very disappointing that the Club advise the Co-op there will be no sharp increases (we clarified this as £3 for the avoidance of any doubt), yet it happens anyway
