I was worried about Jim's team and system before kick off, but I don't believe that's the reason we lost today. We lost because too many of our players were individually poor today. First touches going astray, wayward passes, giving the ball away cheaply in our own half... How do you manage it when players that have been playing well for weeks suddenly fall to pieces?
It's easy to forget that we lost the first two games of our last four in 96/97 but still went up. Chorley are struggling as well... In all likelihood, whoever wins is going to drag themselves broken and bruised over the line, rather than sprinting to victory.
I can't wait for next Saturday now
