This is the thing I find most infuriating. People can say they knew what they were voting for but the fact is that people voted for different things. I know one person who wanted us to enter a Swiss style deal (he works in aviation charters and is now shitting himself that he'll be out of work if air policy collapses with a no deal), I know another who thought it would give the Tories and Cameron a bloody nose and accelerate a left wing lurch in the country (he firmly regrets his vote) and I know another who voted because he wanted the housing market to collapse so he could get on the property ladder (the irony with him being he may well lose his job in such an eventuality and still fail to get on the ladder as yet more property is but up by disaster capitalists).
The only concensus was among those who voted to remain.
