My point on this is that rather than bemoaning the state of the fan base, it is better to recognise it for what it is and engage on that basis. Telling people their reaction is wrong and slagging them off isn't likely to change that reaction and will probably be counter productive to making the change happen that we need. Someone needs to be smarter than we've been to date. Righteous anger is fine in one sense (I love a bit of righteous anger!) but it needs more if, as a collective fan base, we're going to make any difference.
