Good point about partnerships........when thinking back to the good old days, whilst we have had some stand out players, it is the partnerships that endure for me, Frain and Ward, Bennett & Marsden, Flynn & Gannon, Armstrong and Angell and of course Francis and Preece.
For some reason under Gannon's management (maybe because of the FT/PT thing or his continual changing of formation) we never seem to develop good partnerships.
If he could stick with Keane and Palmer, Turnbull & Walker, Mulhearn & Warburton for a decent length of time, I reckon the opponents would have to change their tactics rather than us having to keep changing ours.
