It's poor, it's unprofessional and I can't see how it is going to get the best out of players?
Not really a question of creating a boring interview. A manager can always talk about the negatives without naming individuals. Alex Ferguson never publically criticised players, but you can be absolutely sure this was done privately.
The reality is that this season has been a complete write off. We are on target to finish around a massive 15 points less than last season (and that wasn't enough to reach the play offs).
Jason Oswell seems to be the whipping boy this season, but why? He has scored over 20 goals and has done his job. He isn't the type of player that can hold the ball up and bring others into play. I'm sure if he was, he would be playing at a much higher level. Since Christmas we've changed our style of play, he gets absolutely no service or anything to work off.
Yet our the problem is in midfield. Dixon, Winter, Ball, Walker, Thomas, even Stopforth (good attitude, little product) offer very little. Jim Gannon has got that seriously wrong - but he hasn't acknowledged his mistakes.
I think it would be good if the manager could put his hand up and admit that he has made mistakes occasionally.
