That's just incorrect. It certainly is happening. What Trump says and what he actually does are often two entirely unrelated things. I give you Carrier as one example. Do you remember the huge song and dance Trump made visiting the factory and promising he'd keep the jobs in Indiana when Carrier was thinking of locating to Mexico? Well, it was of course bullsh1t. Carrier got huge incentives (out of tax payers' money) on the understanding that they would keep jobs there (and by the way, Trump had promised not to reward companies staying and rather punish those leaving, so that was another lie). And what's happened? Carrier has sent hundreds of jobs to, er, Mexico and continues to do so.
"All the fuss", by the way, is that aside from all the diversions and the hourly arse gravy that dribbles from his pie hole the US is in the midst of a constitutional crisis. The Fusion GPS transcript is mind-boggling and scary. It's far more and worse than just a president not being "the brightest".It won't be forgotten *here* in a few years.
By the way, point of order, although he also insulted Haiti it was African countries that he described as "sh1tholes". According to Trump Haitians all have AIDS, Mexicans are all rapists, immigrant or visiting Nigerians would "never go back to their huts" (never mind that so many Nigerian immigrants hold at least masters degrees), some white supremacists are "fine people" and the Central Park Five should still have gone to prison even after DNA evidence completely exonerated them. Never mind the whole birthirism business. There's kind of pattern here.
One more thing. He lost the popular vote, won the electoral college. At this stage of the presidency, Trump has the highest disapproval rates ever.
