Indeed. They all knew what they were voting for. For some of them, it was to leave the EU. For others it was to kick the government. Yet more felt they were being failed on employment possibilities and immigration. Still more thrived on the lies they were fed. And so on. There were multiple reasons and not all to do with brexit. You only had to listen to them being interviewed on radio and TV to know that.
a return to autonomy
Fair enough if that is what you believe. So .... let parliamentarians have a free vote and put their recommendations to the electorate. Once we know clearly what that autonomy means. We don't yet.

You have a strange definition of overwhelming - and one that the leavers rejected before the referendum.
All the evidence says they were right.
The evidence of the esperts, those who should know, suggests otherwise. But of course I guess that you reject the experts
