Apparently now home clubs have the power to charge what they like for FA Cup games, it's nothing to do with the away team any more. It doesn't apply for qualifying round games, so will have a minimum impact on us at the moment, but this can't be good for the fans (not that any decision made in the past 30 years has been to the benefit of fans anyway).
But in theory, if we got the the 1st round next season and drew someone away, they could charge anything we like and there's nothing we can do about it. Of course we could do the same if we drew someone we thought we could cash in on, but possibly Sunderland aside (if they do drop to League One), I don't think there's anyone we could draw who would get anywhere near to filling the ground. And I'd be pretty pissed off at County if we hiked our prices up for a 1st round game against Sunderland.
