Yes....we are absolutely delighted to confirm that, thanks to a unique cooperation between the Supporters Cooperative and SCAN....all the above named County Legends and more will be in the Spinning Top for the joint Coop Christmas Cavort/ SCAN Presentation Evening, this Saturday 9 December, as the popular SCAN event switches from its usual venue at the Bung.
The whole thing starts at 5.30 after County's match with Spennymoor Town, so be sure to be there.
The SCAN presentations start at 6pm, hot food will be available and rumour has it that Santa will have mince pies with him.
This will be a great night, and after the Cavort finishes you can stay on to see Ten Eyed Man- a really excellent band with a big reputation.
Entrance to the Spinning Top( next to the Garrick Theatre , on the A6) is free, and of course the beer is superb .
And.......... landlord Mike Swann again makes a 10% donation to the Guardian Account from total takings ....nuff said.
See you at the ST then !.
Initially we styled this a `Food Appeal' but contact with the Wellspring told us that , whilst food donations are very welcome , the more urgent need , with outside overnight conditions so poor at present, is for donations of warm clothing- preferably as indicated in the Rucksack Project details on the wellspring web site, but any donations of warm winter clothing would be greatly appreciated and sorely needed.
Details of the Rucksack Project can be accessed here....
In this respect the Supporters Cooperative Cabin in the Cheadle End Car Park at Edgeley Park will be open and manned ready to receive donations before County's match on Saturday 9 December against Spennymoor Town, between 1.30 and 2.40.
In addition , on Sunday 17 December , the day of the Stockport County Carol Concert, which starts at 3pm at Edgeley Park, the Cheadle End Cabin will again be open to receive donations from 2 pm until 4 pm.
Please support this worthy appeal- thank you.
Limited Edition Shirts
We are anticipating having the Shirts in for Saturday , and thus will be handing these out to those people who have ordered and elected to pick up from the cabin.
As above the cabin will be open from 1.30 until 2.40.and of course shirts will be sent by mail to those who have arranged same.
Thank you for your support with this venture which will benefit both the Guardian Account and SCAN.
