However, given your stats unless we improve dramatically this is just 'clutching at straws'. Ok we battered Southport twice. Once (from 2--0) when they went down to 10 men and once when they rested various players. Otherwise we seem to labour at this level against most teams. Why ? -- for me it is this overly analytical 'painting by numbers' type of football that Jim revels in. For me, it stultifies creativity and free flowing fast football with players balled at from the touch line frightened to make mistakes and over thinking everything. I'm no 'Gannon hater' I admire his commitment and dedication but personally ( as a customer) I don't much like the product. So it is a bit of a chore running with it hoping for something better. For the first time in 10 years of having a ST I've started to miss a few games and consider other options for my Saturday afternoons.
He deserves credit, as I think he has done well to replace Danny Lloyd's goals with Warburton & Oswell but for me we are still too ponderous, opposition centric and predictable a team and ( with the possible exception of Stopforth) his other signings have not made much of an impact.
