As a tactician he is second to none, as we have seen during his tenures over the years.
I'm starting to get the impression that he obviously has a clear and concise game plan. He knows the opposition inside out which is obvious when you listen to his podcast.
I for one think we are amazingly lucky to have him. He was a fantastic player, knows the clubs tradition and values, and is a brilliant coach.
Have seen a few questions raised about him recently and noticed that a few are being quick to throw criticism his way a bit more so this season.
It's made me think a little, and I'm starting to wonder is it Jim getting the tactics wrong, or is it simply that he is operating at a much higher level and either the players don't get what he is trying to do, or their application isn't there or a mixture of both?
Seen pelters on the board for taking Walker off today. My case in point. Changed completely after that substitution yet some straight away laying the boot in.
