do you not remember the days of County on a Friday, City/United on a Saturday to help boost County's gates?????
Yes. What's that got to do with anything 20 years after we stopped playing Friday nights? A lot of water under the bridge since then.
for the record County have no reason to hate City and vice-versa cos you will only ever meet in the cups or friendlies, and that is that sad truth... since countys glory days and city's gloomy days city have been well managed on and off the field unlike county!!
I remember in 1991 when County got promoted out of the fourth division many City supporting mates were far from congratulatory, whereas the few United mates were fine. The joke throughout the early 90s was that despite us being 2 divisions apart there was no chance we'd ever meet.
Then look what happened.
That said, we may not ever meet again but that doesn't mean we have no reason to dislike each other. You only have to look on that bluemoon site or whatever it's called to see the contempt they still have for us and the feeling is mutual. More so on our part.
i go to county with my friends who are actually real county fans (i know how dare they socialise with me a mere city fan) but anyway i go with them and watch the game, i watch two teams play football and that is what i like doing on a saturday afternoon... where does me being a city fan offend you and not allow me to do that????
By all means come and watch but don't expect any County fans to take you seriously. I dislike your football team immensely for various reasons which have been built up over several years. I dislike the attitudes with permeate from many, many City fans.
